A Long Time...

So by now most of you have probably given up on our blog!!! I'm sure you're thinking, "Well I guess Rhea gave it a try...but couldn't keep up with the blogging!" Well, I'm back. I know its been awhile so here's whats happened in January (not too much but I'll tell you anyhow)...

So school started off with a bang. Since were on quarter systems we actually have courses that run all year, or one or two or three quarters. Thus I had two midterms within a week and a half of coming back to school. One was four days in, which I think should be illegal since who in their right mind would study over Christmas. So anyhow then I spent quite a lot of time trying to figure out what I am going to be taking next year. Our last year is all clinical, thus we have to pick different rotations at the school that we want to take. We are allowed to take 4 of the 32 weeks and go somewhere else if we want. So anyhow, I was trying to figure out what to do and where to go if I did go away for some of the time. It feels like such a huge decision even though I know it isn't. I know that I can't learn everything while I am here, but I really want to make sure that I learn enough f the basics so that I can be competent when I graduate. I went snowboarding on a Saskatchewan "mountain" for one day. It actually wasn't that bad. Since it's been awhile since I have snowboarded I decided not to be too adventurous with the jumps. I'm a little out of practice, and have gotten considerably older since those high school days where us girls would go to Castle most weekends. However, since it isn't the mountains there isn't really a lot to do other than go straight down at high speeds. So, I decided that I would teach myself to ride switch. Normally I ride left foot forward, but I am now proud to say that I can do both! Jarvis has been working hard on the basement. The framing is almost complete, and we now have it insulated and the vapor barrier is up. I can't wait for the project to be done, mostly because in my mind I already have it all figured out how it will be decorated and I can't wait to get a start on it! Other than that not too much is new. This month has been somewhat more laid back at school so I've enjoyed hanging out with friends, relaxing, watching some good movies, etc.
