Update

So I just got home form the surgery! It went okay. It's funny how watching someone else do something is so much easier than doing it myself. I'm quite awkward with all the instruments etc. However, so far so good. We opened her up and then took a little feel around inside and then closed her back up again. She was able to walk out just fine after the surgery! I guess we'll see tonight how she is feeling when I go back to check on her. Anyhow, it was fun, but a little stressful since reading it in a book or seeing pictures before is not the same as doing!

Other than that life is good. I thought I would just put in a little update, since a few of you who I haven't talked to in a long time are checking out the blog. So anyhow, Jarv and I have been married for 4.5 years now. He's awesome and I am so lucky. He's very supportive when I am stressed out by this vet med program (which is quite frequently unfortunately), and he helps out a lot around the house etc. Overall, I don't know how I lucked out so much but I did. Currently he works on campus at the dairy farm. He milks as well as feeds etc. It's a good job and he has gotten to know a lot of people though it. All of the vet students have to go milking in first year so he meets a lot of them that way. He's also taking a certificate in farm business management through correspondence from the university. He'll be done the courses he needs for it at the same time as I'll be done school which is awesome. I am in my third year of vet school, which is both exciting cause I am almost done (it's a four year program), but is also kinda scary since I only have a year and a half left before I'll be expected to know things. This is my last year of classes, since next year we spend on rotations in the clinic. So basically that's it......life is busy but enjoyable and we have fun together. Who knows where we'll end up a year and a half from now. We both would like to move back home at some point, but are also open to the idea of living somewhere else for a year or two just for fun.

Way to go on the cow surgery, babe! Let's be honest - I'm glad it is you and not me. I will just stick to the back talking grader sixers. Anyway, we need to get together again before Christmas bells start chiming.

I can not believe that you are almost done school Rhea. Wow. That went my quickly (for me at least). Good job on the surgery. That is so scary yet so exciting. Maybe you should move to Ontario for a year or two (just for fun)!

I was great to hear an update on what is going on in your life. How have you made it this far through school? I think I would have had to take atleast a year off some where in there. All the best as you continue till the end.
