My brother and sister this summer in Calgary.
Jarvis and Hobbs caught sleeping.

Houdini - arrogant as always. For those of you that don't know the story of this cat....I'll fill you in. Shortly after we got married Jarv and I decided we needed a pet. One day this cute little orange kitten came in to the clinic I was working at in Lethbridge with a broken femur. Anyhow, after they had fixed his leg we adopted him (Hobbs). Now Hobbs is what I call the perfect cat (other than his health problems in which case you would consider him a lemon). He sleeps at the right times, cuddles with us, purrs all the time and never does anything bad. So....when we moved to Saskatoon a girl in my class at school posted this picture of this homely little kitten that was found on a construction site. Jarv and I were like....well since Hobbs is so great maybe this is what pets are about and we should get him a cat friend. Thus Houdini entered our lives. Maybe we jinxed ourselves by calling him what we did, I don't know....but he is a terror. Yes he cuddles and yes we love him...but he can do just about anything. For example...he is able to jump to the height of my head to get a package of crackers off the shelf of the pantry, he can now open the dishwasher to lick dirty dishes as he pleases, he can open all of the cupboard doors so we are forced to put child locks on all of them, he can beat up my dog when they play, and the list could go on and on. I'm not sure what we were thinking when we decided to get another pet, however I can say that there is NEVER a boring day with him around. Oh and one more thing.....the reason to calling him arrogant....every night before bed he walks into our bedroom, and we have one of those mirrors that is on a stand and tilts. Well, he will walk up to the mirror, stand on his hind legs, tilt the mirror back and then gaze at himself. Need I say more!!
At home on the farm this summer
My new look. My parents got this WWI or WWII mask (can't remember which one..). Anyhow, I thought I'd try it on....honestly I don't know how anyone could fight in that thing. It suctions to your head and you can barely breathe.
Anyhow, I should get back to studying.....

Hey Rhea!
Wow, Norah and Brent look so different. Very stylish!
So good to hear little tidbits! so you now have 3 pets? I had forgotten - you are so brave. and i second norah and brent looking so very trendy and grown-up!!
I love that you have cats. If it wasn't for the fact that Trev was allergic I think I would have 10. When I wanted to be a vet I always joked that I would bring home all the cats rather than putting them down.
Thanks for checking out my blog. It's great to keep updated again.
